WPIX & NY1’s Magee Hickey & Fox News Channel’s Janice Dean Win The 8th Annual New York’s Funniest Reporter Show Competition

In an unprecedented occurrence in the eight-year history of New York’s Funniest Reporter Show (www.nyfunniestreporter.com) there were two winners deemed champion of this years show: WPIX & NY1’s Mageee Hickey & Fox News Channel’s Janice Dean. Economist & national syndicated host of the “Peter Schiff Show” Peter Schiff came in 2nd place and Fox Business News’ Charles Payne Placed 3rd.

“We are so thankful for all the reporters who were brave enough to take to the stage and do stand up comedy, we’re thankful for their comedian mentors who helped prepare them for the show, and we’re thankful to everyone who attended and made this night magical.” Said New York’s Funniest Reporter Show Co-Producer Mark Goldman. “We were amazed this year at level of competition among the participants – all were thoroughly prepared and all of them got big laughs during their performances.”
Magee Hickey & Janice Dean both gave incredible & memorial performances of equal caliber and the judges felt that they both deserved to win and share the title as champion. In addition to telling jokes, both Hickey & Dean incorporated creative musical elements which drew loud rounds of applause from the crowd.

Peter Schiff received several waves of laughter by pointing out the lighter side to his famous economic doomsday predictions and Charles Payne drew laughter & applause discussing his history as a reporter.
In addition, Comedian / Writer Jeffrey Gurian was inducted into the New York’s Funniest Reporter Show Hall of Fame, Class of 2013.
